Role: Presentation Designer, Copywriter & Social Media Marketer
Overview
Designed a 10‑slide presentation deck for Empire Beauty School to introduce prospective students to the program, community, and career paths. The goal was to create a polished, enrollment‑focused deck that could be used in info sessions and easily repurposed into social media content to support ongoing marketing.
What I did
• Planned the slide narrative to walk students from inspiration (“Transforming Beauty, Transforming You”) through program benefits, growth opportunities, and clear next steps to enroll.
• Built a consistent visual system with a soft gradient palette, modern typography, and simple geometric shapes so the deck feels cohesive and on‑brand.
• Wrote and refined headlines, body copy, and calls to action for each slide, blending motivational language with concrete info about programs, careers, and community.
• Used AI tools to brainstorm alternate phrases and key message angles, then edited and rewrote the final copy for clarity, tone, and flow.
• Structured the deck using master layouts and consistent spacing so slides can be updated and exported as images for social media with minimal extra work.
Social media cut‑downs
To extend the value of the deck, I planned a set of social posts directly from the slides:
Post 1 – “Transforming Beauty, Transforming You” (Awareness)
• Visual: Crop of the title slide with the main tagline and gradient background.
• Copy: Short, inspirational caption inviting viewers to consider beauty school as “your next chapter.”
Post 2 – “Your Journey in 3 Steps” (Enrollment CTA)
• Visual: The “Start Your Journey” slide (1‑2‑3 steps: apply online, meet your advisor, begin training).
• Copy: Clear call to action explaining how simple the enrollment process is, plus a link or “Learn More” CTA.
Post 3 – “Real Growth, Real Careers” (Outcomes)
• Visual: Slide highlighting real growth / pathway to success (arrows or career outcomes).
• Copy: Focus on hands‑on training, mentorship, and career paths (salons, spas, freelance, etc.), ending with a soft CTA to visit the website or attend an info session.
Each of these posts pulls text and design directly from the deck, keeping messaging and visuals aligned across presentations and social channels.
Tools
• Google Slides – slide design and layout
• Adobe Photoshop – exporting, cropping, and optimizing slides as social graphics
• AI‑assisted writing – idea generation and first‑pass phrasing, edited and finalized by me
Outcome
The deck and its social cut‑downs give Empire Beauty School a flexible set of assets that work together: a structured presentation for events and info sessions, plus ready‑to‑post social graphics that highlight the same story. This shows how one design system can support both recruitment presentations and ongoing social media marketing with consistent visuals and messaging.
